Subordinating conjunctions

Some conjunctions can come in the middle or at the beginning of a sentence. These are called subordinating conjunctions.

Each of these complex sentences consists of two main ideas connected with a subordinating conjunction in the middle. Click on each one to see how the conjunction can be used at the beginning of the sentence.
