Tips for answering questions
- Read the question carefully.
- Read the text carefully.
- Remember that names, days, months and titles always start with a capital letter.
- A common noun only has a capital letter when it is part of a name, for example: I live at 27, Park Road.
- Remember that a sentence makes sense; it is nothing to do with how long it is.
- Use clues to help you spot questions:
- question words at the start of the sentence: who, what, when, where, why, how
- do, does, or did at the start of the sentence
- word order: it is, is it?
- Check your answer before you move on.
