Getting around

The easiest way to use the program is to work through each section in order. You can jump to a different section if you want to – just click the button on the navigation bar along the top of the screen.


Basics The highlighted button on the navigation bar tells you which section you are in.
 
Try it out

When you are in the ‘try it out' section, you will see some extra buttons below ‘try it out'. These buttons are for the sections inside ‘try it out'.

 
NextClick on next to go to the next page of the activity.
 
BackClick on back to go back one page in the activity.

Move on At the end of a section, click on move on to go to the first page of the next section.
 
1234 The numbers at the bottom of the screen tell you how many pages there are in the section you are in. The highlighted number is the page you are on.
 
Exit Click on the exit button when you want to leave the program.


More buttons

You will see these buttons in different activities.

Click on this button to check your answers.
 
 
Print Click on print to print a copy of the page you are on.
 

Text which becomes underlined when your mouse goes over it is a link to another page or window. Click on the underlined text to go to that page.


Change text size and contrast

If the text on the page is too small for you to read, or the text and background colours do not provide enough contrast you can change it.

To do this click on the change text size and contrast button.

Click on any of the words in the table and you will see the change on screen.

back to last page link

Click on Back to last page to return to the page you were on.



Access keys

You can also use these access keys to get around. On a PC, use ALT + access key (and you may also need to press Enter). On a Macintosh, use CTRL + Access key.
